Monthly Herbal Classes with the Seasons
running June – October 2022

Learn about the medicinal properties of herbs growing on our farm throughout the seasons and how to use them for your health and well-being. In these very hands-on classes, we’ll engage our senses as we walk around the farm and observe plants we’ll be making medicine from and discuss their healing properties. You’ll learn how to make herbal extracts, healing salves, dual extraction of medicinal mushrooms, herbal oils, herbal cough syrup and herbal infused honey.

One Saturday per month from 10am-2:30pm
Cost- $75 per class – includes going home with herbal remedies you prepared in class, the knowledge of how to use them and an on-farm prepared lunch. You’ll also have the opportunity to harvest some of the fresh herbs growing in abundance that month to take home. ALL PLANTS ON THE FARM ARE CERTIFIED ORGANIC.

June 18th – You’ll learn about Nettles, Chickweed, Cleavers, Violets, Dandelion and Horsetail. We’ll make a minerally rich nutritive tonic with some of these herbs and a rejuvenating lymph extract with others.

July 16th – You’ll learn about Lemon balm, Chamomile, Peppermint, Calendula and St. John’s wort . We’ll make a relaxing nervine extract of Lemon balm and Chamomile, Calendula Salve and St. John’s wort oil.

August 20th – You’ll learn about Tulsi (Holy Basil), Skullcap, Passion flower, California poppy and Milky Oatseed. We’ll make 2 adatogenic extracts from Holy Basil and Fresh Milky Oatseed (if the timing to harvest the Milky oats is right) and a good-nights sleep extract.

September 17th – You’ll learn about Boneset, Thyme, Echinacea, Elderberry and Reishi. We’ll make a winter wellness extract and a dual extraction of Reishi Mushroom.

October 22nd – You’ll learn about Ashwagandha and Elecampane as we dig up thier fall roots where their energy is now stored. We’ll make an Ashwagandha extract, Elecampane Cough Syrup and  ginger infused raw honey.
