ALL CLASSES ARE NOW FILLED TO CAPACITY

Learn about the medicinal properties of herbs growing on our farm throughout the seasons and how to use them for your health and well-being. In these very hands-on classes, we’ll engage our senses as we walk around the farm and observe the plants we’ll be making medicine from and discuss their healing properties. You’ll learn how to make herbal extracts, healing salves, dual extraction of medicinal mushrooms, herbal oils, herbal cough syrup and herbal infused honey.

One Saturday per month from 10am – 2:30pm

Cost
– $75 per class
This includes going home with herbal remedies you prepared in class, the knowledge of how to use them and an on-farm prepared lunch. You’ll also have the opportunity to harvest some of the fresh herbs growing in abundance that month to take home. ALL PLANTS ON THE FARM ARE CERTIFIED ORGANIC.

June 18thCLASS FILLED TO CAPACITY
You’ll learn about Nettles, Chickweed, Cleavers, Violets, Dandelion and Horsetail. We’ll make a nutritive and minerally rich tonic with some of these herbs and a rejuvenating lymph extract with others.  

July 16thCLASS FILLED TO CAPACITY
You’ll learn about Lemon balm, Chamomile, Peppermint, Calendula and St. John’s wort . We’ll make a relaxing nervine extract of Lemon balm and Chamomile, Calendula Salve and St. John’s wort oil.

August 20thCLASS FILLED TO CAPACITY
You’ll learn about Tulsi (Holy Basil), Skullcap, Passion flower, California poppy and Milky Oatseed. We’ll make 2 adatogenic extracts from Holy Basil and Fresh Milky Oatseed (if the timing to harvest the Milky oats is right) and a good-nights Sleep extract.

September 17thCLASS FILLED TO CAPACITY
You’ll learn about Boneset, Thyme, Echinacea and Elderberry. We’ll make a winter wellness extract and a dual extraction of medicinal Reishi Mushrooms.

October 22ndCLASS FILLED TO CAPACITY
You’ll learn about Ashwagandha and Elecampane as we dig up these fall roots where the energy is now stored. We’ll make an Ashwagandha extract, Elecampane Cough Syrup and a ginger infused raw honey.
